Main scope of the project:
• designing and creating a system for underwater monitoring of pillars
• designing and creating a system for scanning above the waterline of pillars
Konsorcjum realizujące projekt składa się z: Instytutu Badawczego Dróg i Mostów w Warszawie oraz firmy Escort Technology Sp. z o.o., która wdraża wyniki projektu.
The tasks performed in the frame of the research and development project consisted of designing monitoring systems in the underwater part of the pillar and the scanning system in the above-water part of the pillar. Then, using the systems developed in the project, research work was carried out involving the collection and analysis of the data necessary for the operation of the designed systems.
The effect of the project was a new service of pillar monitoring and their surroundings based on the measurement of water flow / state, and the degree of bed scour around the pillar. Bridge owners will be able to significantly increase the safety of operated facilities and reduce their maintenance costs.
Technical solutions, being the result of research works developed in the project, are inventions and are subjected to patent protection applications.
The systems, both in the underwater and above-water parts of the support, will be designed and constructed to ensure their full modularity and adaptability to any support shape.
